Every person entering France should have a valid passport and/or identification card. You may need a Visa depending of your country of origin. Please contact the nearest French Embassy or Consulate to your home for further information. More information on French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his / her visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications. It is recommended to apply for a visa at least 1,5 months in advance of the Congress.
How to reach the location of the conference
From the Airport:
Most efficient is the train from Nice Saint Augustin that brings to the Cannes railway station, about 20 minutes walk from the conference venue. The station Nice Saint Augustin is at a 10 minutes’ walk from the airport. The travel time to Cannes main station is about 30 minutes and costs 6.10 euros. You can buy the ticket online and check the real time of the trains through the SNCF applications or the website. Be careful to verify the schedule as the train does not run late;
Alternatively, you can also take the shuttle bus to the bus station in front of the city Hall, about 30 minutes walk from the Conference Venue. Information on such shuttles is available here;
In case those solutions are not satisfactory, you can also use uber that is perfectly legal and efficient. It costs about 60 euros, but price may vary. Please verify before booking as we will not be held responsible for a higher price.
From Bus Station/Train station:
The conference venue is reachable with a short walk of about 20 minutes’ walk (1.4 km) that we do not necessarily recommend when the sun is hitting hard;
Buses: the conference venue is served by the Palmbus line 7. The venue (Hotel Montfleury) is situated between the stops Les Palmiers and Parc Montfleury. The bus plan of the city of Cannes can be found here;
Uber: you can also use uber that is perfectly legal and efficient. It costs about 10 to 15 euros, but price may vary. Please verify before booking as we will not be held responsible for a higher price. Regular shuttles exist from the airport (Terminal 1 and 2) to Cannes.
Car rental: Nice Côte d’Azur Airport offers a choice of several car rental companies (Terminal 2).

A few tips for a pleasant trouble-free holiday
It is always useful to have a little cash on you at all times for little out-of-pocket expenses like taxi fares to the airport, drinks, etc. Taxis do not always accept credit cards.
A service charge is included in the price of each item on the menu in any cafe or restaurant as required by French law. In theory, no further tipping is expected, however, it is common to leave anywhere from 1 euro to a couple euros.
