Instructions for poster presenters

By SPAWC tradition, all paper presentations are poster based, with the exception of thematic talks. Note that presentations in the special sessions are also poster based.

The poster stands have dimensions 1 m wide and 1,64 m high, so you can easily fit A0 vertically (but not horizontally). We will provide you with the means to fix the poster to the stand.

Please also indicate the presenter of your paper in EDAS.

Instructions for thematic talk speakers

We have allocated 20 minutes for each thematic talk including question and answers. We raise your attention on the fact that this timing is unfortunately strict as we have an exciting but dense program to follow.

You may use your own laptop or the on-site laptop for your slides. The projector has a HDMI input only so please be kind to bring your adapter if you need one. Please be at the room a 5-10 minutes before the presentation to check that all is ok.

Instructions for session chairs

Please pick up your session sheets at the welcome desk before the session. You are responsible to verify that the poster is presented by one of the authors (or proxies in exceptional cases). Please return the filled and signed session sheet back to the welcome desk after the session. Session chairs are also kindly requested to help moving people in and out of their session on time so the whole program can be followed smoothly.

Instructions for demo presenters

The demonstrations are going to take place in the “Blue Lagoon” hall during the lunch breaks on Wednesday and Thursday. However, you are welcome to have your demo also during the whole day. You will have one table, two chairs, and a poster stand. Power outlets are available, but we recommend to bring an electrical power strip if needed. Wi-Fi will be available (general hotel Wi-Fi, free of charge).
